Paul Koenen 1967 Maastricht
Since 1995 I have been working as a freelancer. I have worked on different projects with different materials varying from renovating houses to building sets for theatre, from designing and making public furniture to restoring half-timbered properties. The thing that all projects have in common is that they are special, not-standard, which provides this extra incentive to get the most out of myself and thus the final result. In my personal work from the pictures I make to applied and autonomous art, memory, experience, stories and heritage are always the essence. In 2017 i started to make public objects made with mineral waste from different sources.
